Police are seeking to identify two suspects after tires were reported stolen from a pickup truck in Barrie.

According to Barrie police, on Dec. 10, 2018, police were called to a car dealership on Barrie View Drive after receiving a report that tires had been stolen from a new pickup truck.

Police say a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck in a secured lot on Caplan Avenue was found sitting on concrete blocks.

Police say all four tires and rims were removed from the vehicle.

Officers estimate the value of the stolen items exceeds $6,200.

Police say an investigation revealed the alleged theft likely occurred on Dec. 7, 2018, just after 10:30 p.m.

According to police, two suspects were caught on surveillance video entering the fenced area.

Officers are now searching for a man with a heavy build, short, dark hair and a dark goatee. He was seen wearing a black jacket with white markings on the sleeve and dark pants.

Police are also searching for a man with a thin build and dark facial hair. He was seen wearing a black jacket with the hood up and dark pants.

According to police, officers are also looking for a 2014-2018 black Chevrolet pickup truck with a black cap, pintle hitch and black aftermarket wheels and rims. Officers say the vehicle did not have a front licence plate or licence plate holder.
