Wallop of snow brings a bit of relief before another arctic blast.
Saskatoon forecast
Wednesday
Wind chills slipped down to -50 Wednesday morning in Prince Albert, -37 in Saskatoon with clouds and some light snow helping moderate conditions in the city to start the day.
Temperatures sat around -25 degrees through the morning hours under mostly cloudy skies before pockets of snow starting building in heading into the afternoon.
Light snow lingers for the rest of the day with a few centimetres possible as the region warms up to an afternoon high in the minus teens with a breezy southeasterly wind making it feel like the -30s.

Wednesday night
Winds will start to ease Wednesday night as light snow continues and the mercury lingers around -19 degrees before rising up to around -16 by morning.
Thursday
-25 is around what it’ll feel like Thursday with wind chill as you’re heading out the door in the morning under cloudy skies with a chance of flurries to start the day.
A system pushing into southern Alberta will come with a kick of milder air that will help warm the region into minus single digits for an afternoon high with an increased risk of snow to finish the month of January.
Friday
February kicks off on a snowy note on Friday with up 5 to 10 centimetres of snow potentially falling through the day as breezy northeasterly winds kick in with gusts upwards of 40 km/h.
Gusty winds will reduce visibility at times with the fresh snow around as temperatures fall through the minus teens during the day.
Weekend outlook
Snow continues to fall into the first weekend of February with an additional 5 centimetres possible during the day on Saturday before it starts to ease on Sunday.
Temperatures will continue to fall from around -19 degrees back into the mid -20s through the weekend before a blast of -30 overnight lows and -40 morning wind chills return for the first full week of the month.
