A local funeral director has had his licence revoked after an investigation by the Funeral Board of Manitoba.
The former Wheeler Funeral Home director, Chad Wheeler, had his licence cancelled after a hearing on Nov. 19.
The province’s funeral board says Wheeler failed 19 times to put money from people for funeral plans in the required trust account.
The board says Wheeler also made prearranged funeral plans while he was without a licence.
The board says Wheeler can no longer practice as a funeral director or an embalmer and is required to pay $6,077.75 in hearing costs.
