MRU clarifies proposed cuts, says no changes to conservatory programs

CALGARY – We’re learning more details about the proposed program cuts at Mount Royal University.

The cuts come as MRU attempts to make up for a $14 million funding shortfall in its operating budget.

Officials say there will be reduced enrolment for nursing.

In addition, MRU will no longer have an engineering transfer program to the University of Calgary. A small number of engineering students who were already enrolled will now be offered other programs.
