Broken sprinkler evacuates one of Winnipeg’s tallest buildings
One of the city’s highest skyscrapers was evacuated Monday evening.
The fire alarm sounded shortly after 5 p.m. at 201 Portage Avenue sending people who work in the building down the stairs.
The cause of the alarm was a broken sprinkler head.
Inches of water covered the floor of the 33-story tall building while staff worked to clean up the damage.
