Man, 32, shot in Nepean, taken to hospital

A 32-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting in Nepean on Thursday night, Ottawa police say.

Officers said the shooting occurred shortly before 11:15 p.m. on Northview Road, a residential street near the intersection of Baseline and Merivale roads, southwest of downtown Ottawa.

No arrests have been made, an Ottawa police spokesperson confirmed Friday morning.

The Ottawa Police Service’s guns and gangs unit is investigating the shooting, according to a police news release.
