A man, who only wants to be identified as Lee, broke down in tears when volunteers from a local charity, called Helping Hands, delivered his beloved Crystal back into his arms.

Posters were displayed around town Sunday after Lee’s best friend went missing near Leeds Central Train Station. A video of the pair’s reunion was posted on Facebook two days later by volunteers.

According to the charity, Crystal is a white-coated Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Boxer cross and she is full of love for her owner, as seen in the video.

Lee was given a tent for shelter and a leash to attach to anchor the dog to him — especially when he’s sleeping.

“Thank you so much,” Lee said while choking back tears.

A gentleman named Stuart working at nearby Kirkstall Forge found the dog, according to another post on the Helping Hands Facebook page.

Helping Hands describes itself as a Leeds-based non-profit organization made up of people who have previously experienced homelessness or addiction, “and are just trying to give something back to a life they know too well.”
