Kitten stolen from Saskatoon SPCA returned to shelter

A kitten reported stolen from the Saskatoon SPCA has been returned to the shelter.

Captain Crunch went missing from his kennel sometime between 4:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. CT on Jan. 22.

Shelter management said they reviewed video surveillance footage and reported an animal theft to local law enforcement.

The shelter said Thursday evening the kitten had been returned to the shelter and is healthy and unharmed.

SPCA said it prioritizes responsible pet ownership and anyone interested in adopting an animal must complete a thorough adoption application and be approved.

Eleven animals have gone missing from the shelter since Jan. 1, 2014.
