Hamilton Police are looking for witnesses after a violent home invasion in the city’s east end.
Police say shortly after midnight on Monday, suspects entered a residence on Graham Avenue North, south of Dunsmure Avenue, where they assaulted a female occupant, then fled the scene, before police arrived.
The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries to her head and was released a short time later.

Police believe this to be a targeted offence and say a firearm was used during the incident.
The suspects were masked during the incident and were last seen fleeing the scene on foot in dark clothing.
