A man has died following a late-night shooting in Panorama Hills on Monday.
Police said Tuesday they did not have anyone in custody and they did not yet have any suspect descriptions.
Calgary police said they received a call of shots fired in the area of Panamount Villas N.W. at around 10:45 p.m.
Officers found a man who had been shot when they arrived on scene.
He was rushed to Foothills Hospital in critical, life-threatening condition.
Police said he died of gunshot wounds early Tuesday morning.
Police said it isn’t known whether this was a targeted or random shooting at this point in the investigation.
There’s no word yet on how many shots were fired, or how many gunshot wounds the victim sustained.
“An autopsy will take place today to confirm the victim’s identity,” police said in a news release Tuesday.
CCTV footage is being gathered from the surrounding area, police said.
