FREDERICTON – Residents living along New Brunswick’s Nashwaak River are being warned the river could soon spill its banks.
An ice jam has been reported below the MacLaggan Bridge near Blackville.

River Watch says rain is in the forecast and warm temperatures will speed up the snowmelt.
However, the agency says the jam is showing signs of breaking up.
As well, the agency says residents should stop using all-terrain vehicles to cross ice-covered waters.
Last month, an ice jam in the village of Stanley caused the Nashwaak River to flood, forcing about 35 residents to temporarily leave their homes.
