27-year-old man charged with manslaughter for Michael Gregory’s death

A 27-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter in the death of 59-year-old Michael Gregory.

Gregory was killed in February in an altercation at the corner of Commercial Drive and Venables Street in Vancouver.

Police were called to the scene at 10:30 a.m. after a report of two men fighting.

Gregory was suffering from serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, but later died.

Matthew John Anthony-Cook was arrested by the VPD on Thursday at about 2:30 p.m., and will appear in Vancouver Provincial Court this morning.
