Oil Kings to honour Adam Shaw and his dog Rocky

EDMONTON – When the Oil Kings kick off the Eastern Conference Semi-Final series Friday, the team and its fans will be recognizing Adam Shaw and his dog Rocky who recently rescued two girls from the North Saskatchewan River.

In a news release, the Oil Kings elaborated on the special guests.

“Joining the Oil Kings will be a pair of very special guests – local hero Adam Shaw and his dog Rocky. The Fort Saskatchewan resident and his dog were recently recognized for their incredible rescue efforts saving a pair of young children from the North Saskatchewan River this past week.

“Edmonton fans will have a chance to give Shaw and Rocky a hero’s welcome when they drop the puck on the second round series between Edmonton and Medicine Hat.”

Game time is scheduled for 7pm Friday at Rexall Place. Doors will open at 6pm.
