Leafs acquire Ryan O’Byrne from Colorado

TORONTO – The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired Ryan O’Byrne from the Colorado Avalanche minutes before the trade deadline.

The Leafs traded a conditional 4^th round draft pick to the Colorado Avalanche for the 6’5” defenseman on Wednesday.

O’Byrne was drafted 79^th overall in 2003 by the Montreal Canadiens where he played until 2010 when he was traded to the Avalanche.

He’s tallied one goal, three assists, 48 penalty minutes and is -8 so far this season.

The 28-year-old has only tallied 10 points once in his NHL career.
