Police issue warning about violent offender released from Fort Saskatchewan Correction Centre

EDMONTON- The Edmonton Police Service has issued a warning about the release of a violent offender in the Edmonton area.

Alexandre Passechnikov, 27, was recently released from the Fort Saskatchewan Correctional Centre, where he completed a 349 day sentence for robbery, unlawful confinement and possession of stolen property under $5,000.

Police say it’s in the public’s best interest to know that officers consider Passechnikov to be a violent offender. Officers say he poses a significant risk of harm to the community, and particularly to vulnerable adult women.

Passechnikov is described as 6’1″ tall, weighing 176 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
