EDMONTON- The Edmonton Police Service is issuing a warning to residents about the release of a violent offender that will be living in the Edmonton area.
30-year-old Ian Francis Rain was recently released from the Grand Cache Institution, after serving nearly four years for robbery and assault causing bodily harm.
Rain will be closely monitored by the Behavioural Assessment Unit of EPS however, police consider Rain to be a violent offender who poses a significant safety risk to the community.
Officers say it is in the public’s best interest to be aware that Rain will be residing in the area.
