Police issue warning of Abbotsford man who poses danger to public, ‘involved in gang conflict’

Abbotsford police are taking the unusual step of warning the public of a young man.

Officer Judy Bird says Varinderpal Singh Gill poses a risk to the community of Abbotsford.

“VP is known to be involved in the gang conflict within Abbotsford as well as the Lower Mainland, and we believe he poses serious risk to other gang members as well, as he has had threats upon his own life.”

Bird says Gill is described as “a very tall man, he’s 19 years old with a slim build. He’s six-foot-two and 165 pounds.”

Bird says shootings can occur in public spaces, and just being around Gill could put you in danger.

If you see him in a public space, you’re asked to stay away and call 911.

Police say they will respond and take steps to ensure the public safety at that time.
