Racial slurs shouted during brawl at Peterborough park

Peterborough police are investigating what they are calling a “large disturbance” at Del Crary Park on Saturday night.

Police say it involved 20 to 30 young people around 10 p.m. The park had hosted a free outdoor concert by Against the Wind, a Bob Seger tribute, which ended around 9:30 p.m.

CHEX News has obtained several clips of a group of young people fighting. The clips have been shared on Facebook.

In one of the clips, a female can be heard yelling a racial slur: “Go back to your country, Paki.”

Peterborough police say they are aware of the online video posting and are investigating. They have not provided any other information.

To date, no serious injuries have been reported.
