A Peterborough man faces charges after police say he brandished a knife at an apartment complex and damaged vehicles on Saturday night.
Around 7 p.m., police were called to the building after reports that a man threatened people with a knife and then damaged several e-bikes and a motorcycle parked in the area.
Police found the suspect later that night at a Lansdowne Street West residence, where he was arrested.
Jonathan Josiah Allyn, 34, of Talwood Drive, is charged with the following:
- Six counts of mischief under $5,000
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Failure to comply with a probation order
- Consuming liquor other than in residence (Liquor Licence Act)
He appeared in weekend and statutory holiday court on Sunday, was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear again in court Monday.
