Single vehicle collision on Highway 400 kills one: OPP

One man is dead after a single-vehicle collision on Highway 400, police say.

According to Southern Georgian Bay OPP, just after 5 p.m. on Sunday, officers received a report of a single vehicle collision on the southbound shoulder of Highway 400, just north of Fesserton Side Road in Tay Township.

Police say officers, along with County of Simcoe paramedics and Tay Township fire services, located the driver with his vehicle.

According to police, 28-year-old Christopher Violo of Halton Hills was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.
