N.B. RCMP looking for woman who dropped man off at hospital with gunshot wound

Police are turning to the public to help identify a person of interest in connection with a shooting early Tuesday.

New Brunswick RCMP say a 23-year-old man was dropped off at the Waterville hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest. The man from Woodstock remains in hospital in serious condition, according to police.

Police say shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, they received a call that an unidentified woman, who was driving a dark coloured sedan, had dropped the man off at the hospital.

Police believe she left the hospital around 1 a.m. She is described as having long dark hair, and wearing a dark blue Hollister hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Anyone with information on the woman’s whereabouts is asked to contact West District RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
