Two youths, among seven people charged last October in connection with the death of Raymond Beaver, are now facing manslaughter charges in the case.
London police announced the charges Tuesday afternoon, adding that the youths are ages 17 and 15 and will not be named, as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The charges are in addition to counts of break and enter and assault against all seven people charged in the case. Four adults are also charged with first-degree murder while one woman is also charged with break and enter and assault with a weapon.
Beaver, 43, died after he was stabbed in what his family has said was a home invasion at their residence on Lansdowne Avenue between Nelson and Trafalgar streets on Oct. 2, 2017.
Police said they responded to a call around 11:30 p.m., where they found a man who had been stabbed and another who was suffering from non-life-threatening injuries as a result of an assault.
Both were taken to hospital. Beaver was pronounced dead. The other man, Beaver’s 47-year-old uncle, George Janes, was later released.
