Police release video of suspect in armed robbery of Clarington convenience store

Durham police have released video of a suspect involved in a suspected armed robbery of a convenience store in Clarington this winter.

Police say around 11 p.m. on Feb. 23, a man with a knife entered the Mac’s Convenience store on Taunton Road. He demanded cash from the lone store employee.

The suspect then fled the store with cash.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as Caucasian in his 20s, standing five feet nine inches to five feet 10 inches, with a thin build. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket, balaclava, black pants and orange gloves.
