During Sunday’s Television Critic’s Association presentation, Netflix’s vice-president of original content, Cindy Holland, said that the show’s creators, Matt and Ross Duffer and Shawn Levy, were aware of the expectations for the next season of Stranger Things and said that “they want to deliver something bigger and better than what they did last year. And so, they really want to take the time to get it right.”

“It’s a handcrafted show,” Holland said. “The Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy, they understand the stakes are high.”

She mentioned that the show will have more special effects work than previous seasons.

“It’s a really exciting season, just takes a little more time,” she said.

The sci-fi show has already released a teaser trailer, with a commercial for a new mall in Hawkins, Ind., called Starcourt Mall.
