A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital on Thursday afternoon after a collision with an SUV on Highway 97 north of Vernon.

North Okanagan RCMP say the accident happened just after 10 a.m., near Tonasket Road in Armstrong. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and Highway 97 was closed for a period of time. The highway is now open.
A traffic analyst attended the scene and North Okanagan RCMP are investigating.
