RCMP investigating homicide in rural Manitoba

RCMP are trying to piece together what caused the death of a 31-year-old man from Virden, Manitoba.

Just after 1 p.m. on July 21, RCMP received a report of a man in medical distress at a home in Virden.

When officers arrived, there were several people at the scene. Officers noticed the victim was suffering from injuries suggesting there may have been an altercation.

The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The death is being treated as a homicide and is still under investigation.

Virden RCMP, RCMP Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services are looking into what happened.
