Guns seized from St. B home

Winnipeg police have seized more than a hundred guns from a home in St. Boniface.

Officers raided a home on Rue St. Jean Baptiste and say they found 101 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Among the guns were 15 handguns which are restricted or prohibited weapons.

Police say the investigation began in February when a 54 year old man was arrested and charged with uttering threats. At the time, a shotgun was seized. After examining the weapon, police say they found enough evidence to get a search warrant on the St.  Boniface house.
