Ridge Meadows RCMP say one man is dead and another injured after going over the lower falls at Gold Creek in Golden Ears Provincial Park.
RCMP said they received a report on Monday night of a 21-year-old Toronto man who was swept away by the current from Gold Creek.

A 21-year-old Abbotsford man went in after him and both were carried over the falls, RCMP said.
Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue surveyed the area until nightfall.
The search resumed Tuesday morning and a body believed to be that of the missing Toronto man was recovered from a pool of water in the park.
The Abbotsford man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was sent to hospital.
The news comes two weeks after the deaths of three people who fell from one of the pools atop Shannon Falls, south of Squamish.
There have multiple deaths in the Gold Creek area in recent years.
Last year, a man was swept away by rushing water near the popular Lower Falls hiking trail.
In 2013, two teenagers died after being swept up by strong currents in Gold Creek.
