As the weather heats up across B.C., the wildfire risk is ramping up too.

There are a few patches of the province rated at extreme risk and the largest is on southern Vancouver Island, stretching almost from Nanaimo to Victoria.
However, the wildfire service says crews have made good progress on the lone fire of note currently burning in B.C. and it expects no further growth on the East Shuswap Road fire near Kamloops after it flared out of control over the weekend.
