Police said the truck did not have the bucket all the way down and it caught the overpass as it tried to drive under.

On Friday Manitoba Infrastructure said the bridge now needs repairs.

As a result it’s closed one lane of traffic of the bridge over the Red River Floodway while an inspection determines what needs to be fixed.

It’s not yet known how long that could take.
