GoFundMe fundraiser for family killed in Highway 4 collision nearing $75K goal

A GoFundMe fundraiser for the Gasper family killed in a collision on June 29, has surpassed $59,000. The goal is $75,000.

The money will be used to build a playground in memory of Carissa, 28, Troy, 26, and their three children, ages six, four and two.

The family of five was killed when their SUV collided head on with an SUV driven by a 71-year-old north of Elrose, Sask. The 71-year-old also died on scene.

Family friend Daniel Evans who created the fundraiser said “the kids always loved to play outdoors especially in the park so a playground seemed like a good thing to build.”

A destination for the playground has not been determined but it will be located in Rosetown, where the family was from.
