Residents from Marcel Colomb First Nation are returning home Friday after being evacuated nearly a week ago due to wildfires.
Initially, the 96 evacuees headed to Lynn Lake after being forced out Sunday before moving to Thompson where they had been since Tuesday.

Marcel Colomb First Nation is 322 kilometres northwest of Thompson.
The Canadian Red Cross also said everyone from Pauingassi First Nation is now home after wildfires forced more than 450 people out of the community for more than a month.
The Red Cross said once these latest evacuees are settled, more than 2,500 wildfire evacuees they have supported over the last six weeks will all be back at home.
