The woman was shopping in the mall Wednesday around 7:30 p.m when she was allegedly assaulted.

In a news release, police said the victim and the accused did not know one another and that the attack was unprovoked.

“The suspect stabbed the victim in the arm with a hypodermic needle with a syringe containing a fluid thought to contain a destructive or noxious thing,” the release said.

The suspect fled the store but was later arrested in another part of the mall.

Police said the accused was searched and 1.10 grams of meth and a number of syringes were found.

Jessie Kayla Genaille, 30, has been charged with aggravated assault.
