A 24-year-old man was flown to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after his truck was struck by a train on the tracks in Sturgeon County.
It happened at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday near Range Road 264 and Township Road 562.
According to RCMP, preliminary investigation shows the truck went through a stop sign and was struck by the moving train.
The driver was the only person in the truck at the time. He was pulled from the vehicle and flown by STARS Air Ambulance to a hospital in Edmonton.
No one else was hurt.
Once debris was removed, the train was able to continue on.
Alcohol is not considered a factor in the crash but the investigation continues.
