The beloved ‘A’ has been given back to Avocado Sushi in Pointe-Claire Village.
“‘It’s returned,” confirmed Sylvie Longtin, chef and co-owner of Avocado.
“It’s intact, so we are very happy to know that our ‘A’ is back home.”
It was found by a member of the Pointe-Claire Yacht Club Tuesday.

“One of our members came in yesterday, who saw on Facebook that the ‘A’ was missing, and realized it was in our parking lot at the boat yard,” said Trevor Collins, the club’s manager.
“So, someone had thrown it seemingly over our fence.”
The letter, which hung outside the restaurant’s storefront, disappeared a few weeks ago, prompting owners to offer free sushi to anyone who could return it.
The decorative piece was crafted by Bonnie Major from driftwood from Îles de la Madeleine.
