The City of Saskatoon is making several changes to bus routes starting on Sunday, July 1, to improve service for customers.
Feedback from Saskatoon Transit users was collected in an online survey and consultations in the spring. The input will been reflected in several route adjustments.
City officials said the changes are being made in an effort to offer high-frequency service along main corridors, such as on Preston Avenue and Attridge Drive to Nelson Road/Lowe Road.
The following routes will be altered on July 1:
- Route 2 – Meadowgreen / City Centre;
- Route 5 – City Centre;
- Route 13 – Lawson / Broadway;
- Route 21 – University;
- Route 22 – Confederations / City Centre;
- Route 60 – Confederation / University;
- Route 61 – Blairmore / University;
- Route 62 – Montgomery / University;
- Route 63 – Hampton Village / University; and
- Route 65 – Kensington / University.
The following routes will be added on July 1:
- Route 4 – City Centre;
- Route 11 – Airport / City Centre;
- Route 26 – Forest Grove / University;
- Route 27 – Silverspring / University;
- Route 43 – Evergreen;
- Route 44 – Willowgrove; and
- Route 45 – Arbor Creek.
The following routes will be discontinued on July 1:
- Route 4 – Mayfair;
- Route 4 – Willowgrove;
- Route 12 – Airport;
- Route 28 – Willowgrove / Silverspring;
- Route 40 – Evergreen;
- 104 – University Express; and
- 180 – University Express.
Postcards with an overview of the changes are available from bus drivers and at the customer service centre in the downtown terminal.
