A New Brunswick man is facing impaired driving charges following a collision near Antigonish, N.S. on Tuesday morning.

Shortly before 8 a.m., police say a 2013 Nissan Rouge was travelling eastbound on Highway 104 in Beaver Mountain when it struck a guardrail, causing extensive damage to the vehicle and injuring the driver.
The driver was transported to transported to St. Martha’s Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There were no other occupants in the vehicle at the time of the collision.

The driver, a 40-year-old man from Fredericton, is facing impaired driving charges as a result of the collision.
Police say the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
