Tori Spelling, Dean McDermott defend family shower

TORONTO – A family shower has landed actress Tori Spelling and her Canadian husband Dean McDermott in a bit of hot water.

On Saturday, the former Beverly Hills 90210 star tweeted that she and McDermott “just had our 1st family shower w/all 4 babes. Went really well& saved on individual bath time! &only 1 babe pooped N shower.”

The couple, who met on the set of a TV movie in Ottawa, have four children together – two boys and two girls ranging in age from six years to seven months.

The environmentally-conscious family bonding experience was immediately criticized on social media.

Canadian follower @thuds77 tweeted: “that’s kinda weird! I’ve got 4 babes and have NEVER wanted to do that!”

McDermott responded via Twitter, “Then your (sic) weird.”

The Toronto-born actor said he is “enjoying these family moments B4 kids get 2 old” and told critics to “grow up.”

McDermott and Spelling did get some support online.

“I wish I had a shower/ bath that could fit my babies & I in!,” tweeted Heather Sandberg. Jennifer Cardinal tweeted: “Aren’t Family showers great.”
