South Simcoe police are appealing for witnesses of a collision in Innisfil which left one person dead.
According to police, at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 4, a waste disposal truck collided with another vehicle on 10th Sideroad, between 5th and 6th Line.
Police say the vehicle was travelling northbound on 10th Sideroad, when it struck the southbound waste disposal truck. The vehicle came to rest in a driveway, while the truck ended up in a ditch.

According to police, the driver of the truck was treated by paramedics on scene and was not transported to hospital.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by police.
The road was closed for most of the day while police conducted their investigation, however, it has since been re-opened.
Police say the investigation is ongoing. They are asking anyone who may have information regarding this collision to please contact the traffic unit at 705-436-2141 or 905-775-3311. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
