Environment Canada has ended a special air quality statement that was issued Monday for parts of in northern Saskatchewan.

A wildfire southwest of Waskesiu Lake brought reduced visibility and poor air quality to portions of the La Ronge region.

Officials said Tuesday morning the smoke had diminished in intensity but are advising people to continue to monitor their personal health.
