Saskatoon Forecast
Thursday
After a blast of snow on Wednesday with 4.5 centimetres reported in Saskatoon, cooler air has been left to settle in behind the Alberta clipper system.
Temperatures started out the day around -9 with wind chills making it feel like -16 before the mercury climbed up into mid-minus single digits before noon under a mix of sun and cloud.
The main cloud deck sat just south of the city so we continued to enjoy some sunshine for the rest of the day as an arctic high kept our afternoon high in mid-minus single digits.

Friday
Wind chills will approach the -20s to start the day on Friday with a few sunny breaks possible in the morning before a wave of clouds rolls back in to end off the week under overcast skies.
A breezy southeasterly wind will also pick up during the afternoon as we climb up to a daytime high around or possibly just above the freezing mark.
Weekend
The melt will kick into full swing this weekend with southeasterly winds helping push daytime highs into mid-positive single digits as an upper ridge moves in and further fuels the warm up.
Mostly cloudy conditions are expected to dominate the weekend, but some sunny breaks are possible at times, especially late Saturday and early Sunday.
Work Week Outlook
A system is slated to slide through central Saskatchewan early next week that is likely to bring rain and snow along with slightly cooler temperatures in behind it.
Given that it is still a ways away, we will keep an eye on the situation and you’ll want to check back in as we continue to refine the forecast in the coming days.
