Little Britain man airlifted to Toronto hospital following Highway 35 collision

A man from Little Britain has suffered life-threatening injuries following a collision on Highway 35 south of Lindsay on Tuesday morning.

Just before 6 a.m., Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to the collision between a tractor trailer and a car. Police say the 43-year-old driver of the car was transported by air ambulance to a Toronto-area hospital.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt.

Highway 35 between River Road and Mount Horeb Road was closed for several hours as police investigated.

The highway reopened around 2:20 p.m.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
