Peterborough police have issued more details on a fight at Crestwood Secondary School in Cavan-Monaghan Township on Friday that led to the arrests of two people.
As CHEX News first reported Friday, two people were arrested after a melee around the lunch hour in the lobby area.
On Monday, police said the pair – ages 19 and 22 – were not students but were visiting the school looking for a 16-year-old Crestwood student.
“During the altercation the 19-year-old accused was involved in a consensual fight with a 16-year-old male,” police said.
Police said during the altercation, the 19-year-old brandished pepper spray and sprayed the student in the face and then brandished the canister at two school staff members.
