We may never know what caused a fire that is creating headaches for three Vernon businesses.
After an investigation, Vernon fire officials expect the cause of a blaze behind business on Vernon’s main street last week to be classified as undetermined, unless more information comes to light.
“Without a definitive answer it is going to fall in the category of undetermined,” Deputy Fire Chief Scott Hemstad said.

“There are a whole bunch of different things that are pointing different directions everything from accidental to suspicious in nature. But none of them are definitive. It’s all speculation at this point.”
Police said they are still investigating the fire but the cause is currently unknown.
The fire broke out in the alley behind the building in the 2900 block of 30 Avenue on March 28 and damaged the back of the building.
The blaze temporarily closed three storefronts.
One of them, the Yoga Studio at Lotus and Lettuce said it is cautiously optimistic it will be able to reopen by mid-April either in its original location or another temporary or permanent spot.
