WINNIPEG – Police were called out to a McDonald’s restaurant on Leila Avenue in Garden City around 12:30 a.m. Sunday after a confrontation between three young men.
An 18-year-old inside was confronted by two men, one armed with a crowbar and who also grabbed a chair to use as a weapon.

The men took off but came back moments later and smashed a window inside the restaurant and windows of the victim’s car.
Two suspects sped off in a vehicle but only made it a few blocks before police caught up with them.
Two 19-year-old men are facing several charges in connection to the assault.
