The 25-year-old who’s been charged for participating in an alleged beating of an autistic man in Mississauga is now facing charges in Toronto for assault.
Ronjot Singh Dhami — whose last known address was in Surrey, B.C. — is wanted by Toronto police for an alleged assault at Rebel Nightclub located in the city’s Port Lands.
“A large fight ensued between two groups of people inside the club,” Const. Jenniferjit Sidhu told Global Newsradio.
“After security broke up the altercation, police officers on scene investigated the individuals involved and as a result, a warrant was obtained for the arrest of Ronjot Singh Dhami.”

Sidhu said the incident happened around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 11, just days before Dhami’s alleged connection to an attack caught on video at a bus terminal near Square One.
Dhami is currently in custody in Brampton awaiting a bail hearing set for A. Grenville & William Davis Court House on April 12.

Global Newsradio AM640 legal analyst Joseph Neuberger says if he’s released on bail, he will be arrested again this time by Toronto police and face a judge in Toronto on assault charges. However, if not, investigators will have to secure a judge’s order.
“If he does not get bail, Toronto police could arrest him on an Ontario-wide warrant or a Toronto judge could issue an order to bring the guy from jail to appear in Toronto.”
