Kelowna RCMP said a pedestrian was injured Sunday night during a robbery on Spall Road.
“The male victim was confronted by an unknown male suspect along Spall Road… when a physical struggle ensued over the victim’s backpack,” Cpl. Jess O’Donaghey said in a media release.
“During the physical struggle, the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries allegedly inflicted by the suspect, who rummaged through the bag and fled the area eastbound on foot with a small amount of cash.”
RCMP said the victim was treated in hospital.
Police don’t believe the robbery was random.
RCMP said the suspect is a Caucasian man in his 30s, roughly five-foot-eight and 170 pounds, with light brown hair and a short beard.
