The Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers has grown from an active membership of 83 members to more than 1,800 registered members since its conception in October 1962. The member-based organization governs the profession of social work in the province.

“Social work is a diverse profession serving diverse populations, and looks to address both individual challenges and broader social issues such as poverty and inequality,” Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers president Ryan Labatt said.  “This year’s theme, ‘Bringing Change to Life,’ reflects the work of social workers in promoting and supporting change, not only with individuals and families but also within communities and society.”
