Quinte Sportsman Boat and RV Show is said to attract thousands to Belleville. Over 200 vendors will be on hand with the top of the line outdoor products of 2018 – Mar 9, 2018

The 20th annual Quinte Sportsman RV and Boat Show kicked off Friday morning, with no shortage of people walking through the doors.  It’s a three-day event aimed at those who love anything to do with the outdoors. According to the organizer Jeff Cox, they have just about everything for the outdoor enthusiast.

“There’s just about everything. Kayaks, canoes, boat docks, paddle boats. There’s a lot of boats, ATVs. You can see an animal show that will educate you on animals,” says Cox.

There’s even a lifestyle section for those into arts and crafts.  Cox first started the show 20 years ago….and since then the annual event has grown significantly.

“We had one building and now we’re into now five different buildings, we use all the entrance ways, we use the complete upstairs, we use the pool. We are out of room. We’ve use every ounce of the facility that’s here” says Cox.

Close to 200 vendors will be on site, all showing off their top of the line products such as modern mobile homes with a rooftop patio or unique vehicles.

This year you can try scuba diving and snorkeling in the pool. They will also be bringing a small boat in the pool so you can watch pro fishermen give a seminar on fishing.

It’s an event that attracts more than 12,000 people, some from the Belleville region and others from as far as Lake St. Peter.

John Stringer drove more than two hours to attend the event. “I just like looking at everything. Mostly sporting and fishing stuff,” says Stringer.

For many people looking around, it’s not hard to come up with a wish list. “Probably a new camper trailer and a side by side four-wheeler,” says Stringer.

Chris Batti says his wish list includes a bass boat, while Brian Teasdale says, “a nice boat, a four wheeler and a camper trailer….if I have the millions”.
And even if you don’t have the cash to splurge on a new boat, many say it’s always just a chance to look around.
