-30 wind chills return to the region with more snow possible.

Wednesday

-30 is what it felt like with wind chill Wednesday morning in the city as temperatures dipped down to -23 to start the day under mostly clear skies.

Mist moved in during the morning, reducing visibility down to one kilometre during the morning before it started to fizzle before noon as we warmed up into the minus teens under a mix of sun and cloud.

Despite the cool start, we made it up to an afternoon high into minus single digits under partly to mostly sunny skies.

Thursday

-30 is around what it’ll feel like again Thursday morning as high pressure will keep pumping in the sunny breaks into the day with a few clouds hanging around as well.

We should manage to make it up into minus single digits again for an afternoon high before clouds roll back in during the evening with a good chance of snow overnight as winds pick up.

Friday

Our next snow-producing system is expected to sweep through on Friday with no major accumulations expected, however a centimeter or two may fall during the morning before easing during the day.

Breezy conditions will also accompany the system, which will help usher in milder air that should boost temperatures up into mid-minus single digits for an afternoon high.

Weekend Outlook

There may be a few lingering clouds early Saturday before beautiful blue skies and sunshine move in for the rest of the day and the remainder of the weekend with afternoon highs pushing up toward the freezing mark.
